An English plaster bas-relief of the Virgin and Child,
cast from the mould created by Dominico Brucciani from the stone original, probably by Odoardo Fantacchiotti, mid-nineteenth century, in simulation of the work of Desiderio da Settignano and Donatello, which was acquired by the South Kensington Museum (now the V&A) in 1861,
the rectangular panel with an arched top depicts the Madonna, half-length as if seated at a parapet, the Child turning His head and holding her hand, below diminutive winged putti hold a medallion, all modelled in a delicate low relief,
