LASSCO has managed to save from the scrap-yard furnace a dazzling trove of brass medals, buttons, badges, diverse militaria and heraldic emblems of all kinds, which we have hand-crafted into a striking range of jewellery and accessories.
Originally modelled in London and Birmingham by J.R. Gaunt & Son, “metalworkers to the King, established 200 years”, almost every historical regiment of the British Army is here represented – from the Buffs to the Royal Welch.
We have also discovered the livery buttons and emblems worn by the footmen of a number of noble households, regiments from around the world as well as the badges of many county hunts.
The most arresting of these pieces have been repurposed in-house by LASSCO to create a charming run of jewellery with hidden tales to tell.
There is simply too much to catalogue and customers are invited to view the collection at our Ropewalk branch.
