Constructed in teak with frieze drawer. Salvaged from the MS Augustus.
MS Augustus was a luxury ocean liner, built in 1950 for the Italian Line passenger shipping company. The sister ship to MS Giulio Cesare she was built to ply the Italy-South America route and departed from Genoa to Buenos Aires on her maiden voyage in 1952 calling at Naples, Cannes, Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo and on to Argentina.
