A pair of English composition stone gate-pier finials,
20th Century to a 19th Century pattern,
each a knopped octagonal section surmount, pepper-pot top, lobed lower section, tapering to the square-section spreading socle foot,

Traditional finials for gate-piers, parapets or terrace walls, finials were hand-carved or later cast in stoneware. These are cast in composition stone and given an aged patina – this pair have been salvaged after long use and have an additional weathered appearance. We have the mould so could make a new series if required.
