Giltwood, gesso and marble console table in the Louis XV taste,
late nineteenth century with later marble top.
having a serpentine shaped Carrara marble top, leading to the pine, gesso and giltwood base, centred by large scallop shell with a festoon of flowers above, flanked by S-C scrolled and pierced front legs, similar legs to back, the whole supported by carved X-stretcher centred by large shell detail and further festoons, the whole raised on scroll feet.
Marble top is 138 cm wide.
