LASSCO currently has over 80 of these two-door cabinets. They are pictured here as a stack of four (priced per each). We can supply them in restored condition but otherwise are sold “as is”.

The cabinets were removed from the Archives of the Natural History Museum over 20years ago when they were stored. The Natural History museum had moved the slide drawers containing hundreds of thousands of butterfly specimens to state of the art humidity controlled cabinets.

Druce’s of Baker Street had the ongoing contract to supply these cabinets as the vast collections of Butterflies at the Museum expanded over the decades – hence the uniformity of the cupboards.
