Nick Belcher lives near LASSCO Three Pigeons and is regularly found loitering in the yard with his camera. We love the results. The prints are hand mounted and framed behind glass in a stained oak frame.
The prison doors are remarkable. We bought about 120 of them some years ago. Our usual procedure is to strip them down and polish the steel skin on the prisoner's side and lightly restore the pitch-pine and bolts on the warder's side. The stack of doors has been gently weathering as each awaits its time in the workshop. The entropy is intriguing as it reveals the dozens of layers of surprisingly lurid paint colours that have been adopted over the decades.

A framed and mounted etching by the English artist Charles Watson (1846-1927) depicting the foreshore at Chelsea with two barges at low tide. In the distance is shown the tower of Chelsea Old Church and a part of Old Battersea Bridge, replaced in 1890. The vantage is from close to the current site of the Chelsea Yacht and Boat Yard.
