This unusual cabinet has stood at the Pitt-Rivers Museum, Oxford in the main atrium for many years. There it contained a display of "Housing" - a model of a thatched building. It is discernible in a photograph of the museum interior dating to around 1900 - or at least it looks to be the same - the only cabinet of this format. It has been reglazed in its time at Oxford with modern glass.
