A Philips’ 12″ table globe
the paper on card terrestrial globe mounted on a chrome plated meridian and stepped black bakelite base,
the appearance of Siam, an undivided Korea and the newly created state of Israel put the date of the cartography at around 1948. The paper is damaged and stained in areas; two splits along the equator have been painted-in, and there is a patched repair in the region of Alaska; there is the residue of a felt-tip pen ring around the British Isles. The chroming to the meridian is pitted.
