This fireplace has been salvaged and built at LASSCO Three Pigeons – the first time it has stood in 88years. Made in 1905 by one of the finest stonemasons in Edwardian London – Abraham Broadbent – it was the centrepiece of a glorious Wren-style complex of buildings including a new School Hall, Library and Classical Museum that were built as a Memorial to Old Etonians who died in the Second Boer War. The fireplace was dismantled and hidden under the floorboards in 1935. Read the full story here.
