A large English Ship’s Model of a late 18th Century frigate,
the full-rigged ship of the line in sail, with three main-masts square-rigged, two jib sails to the bowsprit, gallant, top and main sails to the fore and main masts, a gallant and top sail above the spanker aft, the flat deck from bow-to-stern dates the frigate to the late eighteenth century - with detailed modelling of the ship's wheel, deck-housing, life-boats and gunwales, below decks the model's hull is void but the exterior purports to a ship of 34guns on two gun-decks - unusual for a smaller frigate,

This model ship was a barn find and was bought as part of a larger LASSCO clearance.. She had remained uncovered for many years and was cob-webbed and dusty. LASSCO has given her an initial clean and found remarkably little damage to the rigging. The buyer might choose to give her a more rigorous clean. The keel has fixings for a keel weight to enable her to float correctly – we did not find that weight. She is presented in a bespoke cradle.
