The panel, stamped in two places with an oval mark reading: "Samuel Lucchesi, mouleur editeur, Paris, 9 rue de la Roquette,". It would have formed a focal panel within an architectural scheme ornamenting an opulent Parisian interior. A second similar panel has survived with the pictured example but is in poor condition - please enquire.
