in the Rococo taste,19th Century, by Samuel Lucchesi of Paris,
cast in relief, the central cartouche framed with rocaille ornament and depicting hunting dogs descending on their downed quarry within a wooded landscape,

The panel, stamped in two places with an oval mark reading: "Samuel Lucchesi, mouleur editeur, Paris, 9 rue de la Roquette,". It would have formed a focal panel within an architectural scheme ornamenting an opulent Parisian interior. A second similar panel has survived with the pictured example but is in poor condition - please enquire.
