Fine Louis XIV style gilt-bronze lantern
late nineteenth or early twentieth century,
after a design originally made for the 'Vestibule de Marbre' at the Palace of Versaille, the top formed of a Royal Crown, the bevelled glass panelled body with scallop shell and caryatid clasps, with lion's masks sitting above the foliate terminal, re-wired.
