A Victorian cast iron and timber railway platform bench,
ex. London & North Eastern Railway - reputedly from a station platform on the branch-line between Ely and March in Cambridgeshire
the rectangular seat with rounded edges and a plank back-rest, raised on three pierced cast-iron supports,

The oval recess in the back rest would have borne a cast-iron name plate with the station name – highly collectable it has long since been removed. The proportions of it dictate a short name, perhaps of only five letters.
