c.1925, removed from Eton College, Windsor,
the breakfront cornice over the panelled frieze flanked by pairs of disc roundels, triple roundels to the top of each panelled jamb, beneath a course of bead-and-reel moulding, pilasters to the interior returns, the outer returns and top unfinished,

the detail to the interior returns, including pairs of guttae to the very rear, point to this stone construction being for a raised niche or window surround. With some thought and maybe a little extra masonry work this piece could stand as an unusual and boldly architectural chimneypiece,
