The Brilliant Sign Co were the foremost suppliers of shop signboards from their inception in 1888 through their innovative use of V-sectioned copper lettering, as used in this run supplied to the firm ‘G.T Morgan’. This development superceded the incised wooden letter and meant that a less skilled labour force could complete the work in less time. Each edition contained unique lithographic prints, commissioned by the editor, and each cover a double-page lithograph elaborated by one of the artists contained within. It was the brainchild of its editor Stratis Eleftheriades, a Greek National who moved to Paris in the early thirties to take part in the growing Modernist movement, writing under the name of Teriade.£500 -
