A very rare English pine staircase balustrade
Late 17th or early 18th Century, in four sections
each section comprising a series of bulbous baluster spindles connecting the handrail and stringer with a newel post to each end and with a ball finial surmount,
The four sections measure as follows, n.b. the given width is the horizontal measurement with the newel posts vertical: (a) 209cm (50.75") high, 204.5cm (80.5") wide, 211cm (83") long the handrail excluding newel posts, (b) 205cm (49.25") high, 196cm (77") wide, 203cm (80") long the handrail excluding newel posts, (c) 116cm (45.5") high, 213.5cm (84") wide, 224cm (88") long the handrail excluding newel posts, (d) 119.5cm (47") high, 216cm (85") wide, 234cm (92") long the handrail excluding newel posts,
