A pair of late Victorian copper Winsor lanterns,
by Foster & Pullen, RESERVED,
each glazed square-section tapered lantern, with spinnings above, raised on a four-prong chair-iron,
£1,950
The lanterns have been stripped to raw copper – they could be repainted. They have been re-wired and re-glazed as required with wobbly glass.
Foster & Pullen of the Avil Works in Bradford were foremost amongst the lantern makers and were still manufacturing street-lanterns and other forms of lighting into the mid 20th Century.
