LASSCO discovered this elegant firegrate in Leicestershire. It is beautifully designed. We can't understand why this simple design of three hooked-on bars has not been more widely adopted! The casting is first-rate - research continues as to which foundry might have made it. The design has Gothic roots but, typically for the period the design incorporates other influences and is veering towards Aesthetic, or Arts and Crafts.
