This register grate is a classic of its type. We found it languishing in a barn in Kent and bought it as part of a clearance. We have rebuilt the backplate and damper plate and the pierced apron running underneath the basket. The register plate we did not subject to the polishing wheel as it hadn’t been touched in decades – if not centuries.
