Edward Madden and James Ngu, of Brunswick House and Chelsea Harbour respectively, have now taken the reins at The Three Pigeons and are rolling out a seven day renaissance of our village pub and historic coaching inn. The ancient cellars, once again, keep the locally brewed craft beers (Shotover, Vale Brewery and XT) in excellent condition; the food, Restoration British is generous in portion, locally-sourced and innovative as one would expect of these two superb young chefs. And the wines, English and Foreign, are as carefully sourced as those at Brunswick House. All three log fires and the outstanding ambience of the fascinating LASSCO stock make for a unique dining experience where one hardly needs reminding that everything is for sale. Edward and James could not come from more disparate origins, the former from the landed Dorset family, the latter from Kuching in Sarawak, but they have merged with enthusiasm and commitment to revive a Great British Institution, “The Village Pub”, to complement [and give a run for their money!] our neighbours “Le Manoir”. Go to www.thethreepigeons.co.uk for new opening hours, which include Friday & Saturday evenings.
We all look forward to seeing you.
