2nd December – 21st December 2010
'Burnt Ground' 48" x 48" mixed media
LASSCO launches its first exhibition at Brunswick House.
David Taborn is showing over thirty 3-dimensional wall-pieces and watercolours which will look very much at home among the company's stock of architectural salvage, ornament and curiosities.
'Confucius' 34" x 34"mixed media with light
David Taborn's art incorporates the idea that his works have enjoyed some kind of prior state of existence which is harmonious with what we strive to achieve here at LASSCO; reclamation and re-use.
A musical typewriter set in a mirror, a sliced-up chair, snooker balls pouring through a 2-dimensional harp, melting vinyl records, a swatch of Freud’s sofa are some ingredients of Taborn’s eccentric wall-pieces and watercolours.
'Parp' 48" x 48" (frame) mixed media
