LASSCO are flying the biggest White Ensign (Battleship-size) available today on Brunswick House to celebrate the 203rd anniversary of the famous sea-battle and death of Admiral Lord Nelson.
It is fondly imagined that naval officers of the time would have passed by Brunswick House, on the Portsmouth Road, in fast post-chaises eager to reach the flesh pots of Vauxhall in their brief leave ashore; and it must be remembered that the brave Duke who lived in and gave his name to the House died fighting Bonaparte at the Battle of Quatre Bras a few days before Waterloo.
