Louis XIV style Carrara marble chimneypiece,
the moulded rectangular shelf above frieze centred by scallop shell and flanked either side with acanthine brackets, the voluted and panelled jambs with vents to either side, on plain footblocks. Removed from a property on Avenue Montaigne, Paris. This is one of a pair, the other in Pavonazzo marble, see stock number 77363.
