Rare and imposing Murano glass cascade pendant light
the pendant consists of a white painted steel frame, made up of seven graduated circular rings with supports. The handmade glass sections hang individually on the ringed frames, thus producing a cascade effect. Each of the unique glass pieces range in colour from clear, amber, yellow, red and orange. The larger cascading outer pieces are shaped as stylised loops with scrolls, leading to ribbed blade shaped sections beneath.

Carlo Nason is regarded as one the Italy’s most exciting and inventive glass artist, particularly loved for his use of historical techniques in the production of unique lamps, vases, and sculptures. Born in 1935 in Murano, Italy, he and his family come from generations of influential glass blower for the Island of Murano. He was encourage to work in the glass blowing process from an early age, and still lives and works in Murano, Italy. His works are in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
