A large cast iron fireback in the Baroque manner
Northern European, nineteenth century or earlier to a seventeenth century pattern,
of arched form, the crest of scallops and dolphins over a depiction of spring, the German 'FRUHLING', flanked by a Triton surmounted fountain and a vase of tulips, terminal figures to the margin modelled on German/Dutch maidens, an old crack runs half way up the fireback,
