Under the careful eye and talented hand of chef Jackson Boxer The Brunswick House Café has surged into the limelight in the past couple of years. From humble beginnings it is now a thriving restaurant and bar set within LASSCO’s spectacular shop at Vauxhall Cross.
Vogue described it as “one of London’s most talked-about destinations … a foodie landmark”.
John Lanchester reviewed it in the Guardian: “The short and simple way of describing Brunswick House Cafe is to say it is perfect. Jackson Boxer has made a place that sends exactly the right signals about itself: it is quirky and personal, and casual and cool, but it’s very well run, too, and the underlying commitment to good food isn’t casual at all. There is a feeling that the people working here enjoy what they do. That helps the customer relax and enjoy it, too.”
Nicholas Lander’s review in the Financial Times reads: “The menu is in keeping with the best young British relaxed approach to food. It is short, tersely written, comprehensive and fairly priced with no main course dish over £10.”
And a review in the Sunday Times from A.A.Gill has it that the experience is “All rather wonderful”.
So when you come shopping at LASSCO Brunswick House be sure to leave time for Lunch!
