Designed by Anthony Reeve at LASSCO Three Pigeons, these industrial insulators make fabulous bar stools. The stem comprising glazed ceramic fins with aluminium ferrules were originally made in the 1950's to help prevent 40,000 Volts from earthing out. They were ranked within the St. John's Wood sub-station where National Grid voltages were brought down to domestic voltages for a large swathe of West London.
January 2014: We have just started turning the salvaged timber seat and base in oak rather than iroko.
