An impressive English cast and wrought iron balcony
To a neo-classical pattern, originally built for a Georgian house in Vincent Square, Westminster
The hooped railing with an anthemion surmount to the central panel wrought in the shape of an urn, the footplate pierced with foliate ornament and cast with a reeded edge with flowerhead appliques, the pair of supporting scrolled brackets with leaf-clasps,

History

It is known that this substantial iron balcony was intended for, and installed at, a private residence in Vincent Square Westminster. Whether intentions changed for planning or design reasons, its installation was short-lived and this fine piece of metalwork was taken down. LASSCO acquired it from the contractors charged with its removal and disposal for salvage.
