a pair of door-knobs each with integral rose, linked by a spindle and supplied with matching brass screws,

This mortice set is fitted by threading the spindle through the standard gauge mortice and securing each door knob to the door with the supplied screws through each rose. The knobs are not secured to the spindle and the roses are integral so this mortice set will not lend itself to use with a rim-lock (i.e. and externally mounted box-lock).
