A pair of late Victorian wrought and cast iron driveway gates,
removed from an estate near Henley on Thames,
each leaf richly ornamented with scrollwork, S-scroll crestings with bifurcated finials, knopped bars to the principle panels, their flanking panels modelled as stylised vases issuing plants with bronze flowerhead bosses,
£11,250
These substantial gates have at some point been "stretched' - i.e they have had additional panels of scrollwork, vertical panels, added to each of the closing edges in order to make the gates wider.
