A very large English glazed bronze and mahogany museum case,
the flat-topped vitrine, rectangular in plan with curved corners, the upper section incorporating six access hatches, each with a pair of articulated cranked supports, raised on the mahogany lower section incorporating a single door to each short side and two pairs of doors to each long side,
This extraordinary cabinet was probably made by Edwardes of Birmingham. It is engineered to a high specification. It has spent the last few decades displaying Early Chinese Earthenware artifacts at the museum.
