Have a look at the article about Jessica McCormack’s fabulous new shop in Mayfair featured in the October 2013 issue of World of Interiors. At LASSCO Three Pigeons we worked hard to get just the required look and finish, bringing in the oak from our salvage sources on the Continent. The finished floor looks really smart.
Jessica McCormack has turned heads with her fantastical jewelry designs – diamonds are her thing. Now she has a Mayfair shop in which to show them off. It was a great project to be involved with. We are still recovering from the task of getting the safety deposit box tower (salvaged from The Ritz) into the front door.
Each salvaged oak board, cut on the mitre at both ends, had the edges lightly chamfered. When laid, the boards had repeated coats of an oil-based lacquer applied and then was given a final buff. It took time to lay but the results are glorious.
