Recycled Bicycle Part Sculptor

   Creation and innovation have been Daren's lifelong passions, both expressed strongly in his metal sculptures.  His medium of choice is reclaimed steel, mostly bicycle parts, using welding as the primary joining technique.  His work is figurative & abstract, indoor & outdoor.  It includes the human body & wildlife as its subjects.He sells his work at numerous art galleries throughout the South of England and he is a member of the Surrey Sculpture Society.

Daren has a dgree in chemistry and he worked in the agrochemical industry until becoming a full-time artist in 2004.

He thrives on the challenge of unique commission which require extensive research, innovation and the mastering of new techniques.

LASSCO looks forward to seeing his birds, fish, insects, land mammals as well as human & abstract forms at the Three Pigeons in May, particularly as his work incorporates the LASSCO philosophy of re-use.
